Easy Quiz Creation for Enhanced User Engagement with Appworks
Creating engaging content for your audience — it's not an easy task, right? We aim to assist our partners with this challenge through our Content Management System (CMS), mPanel. One of its standout features is the innovative way it enables the creation, management, and publication of polls and quizzes on websites or within mobile apps.
Appworks' Content Management System, which we’ve named mPanel, is designed to streamline the creation, management, and immediate publication of interactive elements like polls and quizzes within our partners' mobile apps and on their websites. We believe these tools are easy to create and can be flexibly adapted to how you distribute content within the app.
Whether you’re working on a loyalty app, a news app, or an app with premium or free content, creating polls is straightforward. Simply add your question and then provide possible answers for users to choose from. The answer type can be a radio button or a dropdown menu (for questions with a single answer) or checkboxes (for multiple answers). There’s also an option to include a free text field when you need additional feedback or information.
Polls or quizzes
Polls can be used to assess users' opinions on various matters or to measure their satisfaction. The results are easy to view, sort, and filter, and you can export them to an Excel file for further analysis or sharing with users who don’t have access to mPanel.
Quizzes are similar in their creation process, with one key difference of course — they have correct answers (or multiple correct answers), which allows for further actions based on user responses. The simplest quiz presents a series of questions, letting users have fun while receiving immediate feedback on their correct answers.
For both polls and quizzes, you, as the administrator, can decide who will be able to participate. You can make them accessible to everyone (no registration required), request an email address without verification, limit access to one entry per mobile device, or restrict participation to registered users only. While requiring registration may seem like an additional step, it can be worthwhile if you want to leverage gamification more effectively.
Gamification elements
If you choose to allow only registered users to participate (registration is simple, especially with a Gmail account), you can contact and potentially reward top performers, run competitions, or allow users to earn points based on their actions. For example, points can be earned just by participating in a poll, or you can assign different point values based on the number of correct quiz answers. This enables you to run extended quiz campaigns, where users participate over several weeks, collecting points. You can display a leaderboard of the top scorers or let users accumulate points to earn rewards. Rewards can be tangible, like discounts or digital/physical prizes, or simply gamified elements. Some of our partners have had great success with users enjoying these interactions and earning virtual badges like "History Master" or "Basketball Apprentice." We can build complex gamification campaigns that last for weeks or even months.
Automated import and creation
Since last year, we have added the capability to import large question databases, allowing for the automatic generation of new quizzes on a weekly basis. The quiz editor imports an Excel file (with columns for questions, possible answers, and the correct answer) into mPanel. We’ve seen examples of 500 questions being imported at once, after which the system randomly selects new questions each week, ensuring that users consistently encounter fresh and relevant content without repetition. For content creators, this feature saves significant time and effort, while for users, it guarantees a continuous supply of unique challenges.
The CMS’s interface simplifies the creation and editing of quizzes and polls, making it accessible even to those with varying levels of technical expertise. Additionally, the platform’s ability to host exclusive content provides an incentive for users to download and regularly engage with the app, fostering a direct line of communication that benefits both users and app owners.

This interactive quiz not only educates users on critical issues but also encourages them to engage more deeply with KRIK's impactful journalism. This year, they are hosting a "New Year's Quiz" featuring 10 questions related to their work and the biggest stories from the previous year.

They have creatively utilized mPanel to run a weekly rock music quiz, automatically generated by our system using a vast database of questions. This initiative keeps their audience entertained and engaged, encouraging regular app interaction and fostering a vibrant community of music lovers.
To prepare the quiz, Boom 93 used the Excel import process, allowing them to load hundreds of questions in advance, ensuring that users are presented with a new challenge each week. Successful participants are awarded points, which they collect on a weekly basis. Boom 93 rewards the top players every month, adding a competitive element to the experience. The station also integrates the quizzes with their live radio program, motivating listeners to participate through on-air messages.

By offering these capabilities through the mPanel CMS platform, Appworks is committed to helping its partners develop a dedicated user base and improve app retention. The platform’s focus on creating a captivating user experience through interactive quizzes and polls not only entertains but also provides valuable insights into user preferences and behavior, supporting the development of a more tailored and engaging app environment.
